Welcome to the Friends of St Malachy’s PS Association (PTA)

Our mission to support the children at St Malachys PS!

We are a registered charity made up of volunteer parents. The main function of our PTA is to support the school by raising vital funds to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences for the children at our school. We do this through regular fund-raising events such as discos, raffles, big breakfasts etc, all of which are generously supported by parents, family and friends of St Malachy’s and the wider community.

The PTA meet monthly to plan how to fundraise and how it should be most appropriately spent. Our funds have enabled us to purchase laptops and iPads, an interactive white board, part fund the Breakfast Club, P7 leavers hoodies along with the end of year BBQ, trips and supply extra treats throughout the year.

We are also currently on a HUGE fundraising drive to renovate part of the playground, making a fun new learning space for the children to enjoy.

We welcome new volunteers at all times of the year and although our lives are generally all very busy, all parents contribute in some way or another.
