The Eco-Schools Programme is the world’s largest Environmental Education programme and aims to make environmental awareness and actions natural part of the ethos of school life. The children’s knowledge is outstanding showing excellent Environmental Awareness. Our Eco book is on display on the Eco notice board for all to see what we have been doing for our environment in the past year.
We have been awarded the prestigious Eco-School Green Flag by the environmental charity, Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful.
St Malachy’s PS have also received recognition on their other environmental achievements including:
- Outdoor Gardening-winners, Sam Gardiner MBE JP MLA presented the prize at Stormont
- Green Teacher of the year
- Gold Award (2019) for caring for our wildlife with RSPB.
