This week the boys and girls embraced yet another challenge. They were challenged to build their own ‘big wheel’ or Ferris wheel.
The children worked in their groups and planned their design before collecting the materials which they needed. The imagination and thinking skills demonstrated were fantastic!
Some groups found that their initial ideas were not successful but they used their problem solving and decision making skills to find solutions. Although each design was completely different in appearance, they were all able to move and the motions of a real life Ferris Wheel were recreated.
It was a very engaging session and the children enjoyed it so much that they did not want it to end! We are already looking forward to next week’s club 🙂 Good job boys and girls!
