First Holy Communion 2023
Yesterday our Primary four girls received the sacrament of First Holy Communion in St Malachy’s church Kilclief. The weather was absolutely beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for any better. The girls, Alina, Ella, Bella and Sophie were fantastic and all looked stunning.
There has been a big count down of excitement ahead of this day filled with not only the classroom preparations, song rehearsals and chats with Fr Alexander but a lot of talk about dress fittings, hair appointments, nail appointments, bubble baths and after parties. You all looked amazing, read brilliantly and sang your hearts out. Well done. Your teacher and parents should be very proud.
Many thanks to everyone who helped make their day so special. A special thank you to Fr Alexander for leading such a lovely mass and making the girls and their families feel so relaxed and special on their memorable day.
Thanks to the boys and girls who came to support the P4 girls by singing in the choir so beautifully. We would like to thank also those parents who provided flowers for the church and treats in the dinner hall.
A special thank you to the staff in school who helped with decorations, music, sandwiches and for all their help and support in preparing the children for this special day.
We are extremely proud of our St Malachy’s primary school and pupils.
Hope you all enjoy the weather as it continues next week.
Well done again. ❤️💚
