This week we talked about the importance of STEM for construction, architecture and building. We were give the challenge of designed and making a bridge that was strong enough to hold the weight of some toy vehicles in school. It also had to look good and be practical. The children planned their ideas and made sketches of their designs before getting to the building task. On completion we discussed the materials used and their properties, fair tests and what they would do different in future. Well done boys and girls, some fantastic problem solving and thinking skills on display.
