The pupils in our P3/4/5 class celebrated universal children’s day through literacy this week. They watched a UNICEF video ‘Dear Adults - a message from the world’s children’ and discussed the importance of children’s voices being heard, and how the decisions world leaders make, affect children too. They participated in the shared reading of ‘I Have the Right to be a Child’ and matched quotes from the book to the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child. They discussed the importance of the articles and how they protect children.
