Today was a very exciting day in the Foundation stage class and in P3/4/5. Our butterflies which we have been nurturing since they arrived as tiny little caterpillars at the start of March were ready for release. They have been growing and and transforming and evolving in beautiful butterflies. Unfortunately we lost a few along the way, but we were able to release half of the beautiful butterflies this morning into the field behind our school. It was a pleasure and great responsibility to watch and assist the process up close and first hand in our classrooms. The children grew quite attached to them all and gave each of them names.
