This week the children had lots of fun in our after schools clubs.
In art club we were printing butterflies with paint then folded them to create symmetrical patterns. There was a very calm, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. They really enjoyed it.
In STEM club on Wednesday afternoon we stayed with the theme of Green Day and carried out a range of rainbow 🌈 themed experiments. We made our own rainbow slime. Although some of our slime didn’t work initially, we discussed the importance of a fair test and the accuracy of measuring ingredients. It was a great learning experience and the children are keen to adapt their methods to try the experiment again. We then explored how rainbows are made and used the skittles test to show what happens. The boys and girls were engaged in the session and had lots of scientific questions and managed to spare a few skittles for a little treat 🌈 All clubs will continue next week!
