This week the key stage one and two pupils were lucky enough to be visited by local author Declan Carville. They learnt all about the process of writing a book, and what happens from the beginning idea to the finished product. They also learnt about the creation of characters and how there is a part of the author in every story. Declan brought in some of the original sketches, drawn up by various illustrators when illustrating the books. A really inspiring morning for the pupils.
